The poetic ROUTE of NAJIBA

Tilburg’s city poet Najiba Abdellaoui writes poems for five sculptures

Lustwarande seeks out interesting collaborations whenever possible. Sometimes these present themselves spontaneously, such as with the Tilburg literary production house Tilt.

Tilt is a home for writers. It offers them space to develop, meet, and present. To this end, it organizes diverse events and publishes publications. Through stories, it builds worlds; worlds that are close to us and in which we recognize ourselves, or that lie outside our field of vision and broaden our view of reality.

Lustwarande and Tilt have joined forces. This has resulted in the pilot The Poetic Route of Najiba – Poetry and sculpture meet during a walk through Lustwarande.

On September 20 people walked with Najiba Abdellaoui. The city poet of Tilburg drew inspiration from nature, tranquility, and especially from the sculptures in MATERIAL WORLDS. Najiba mapped out her own route and wrote poems for five works, which she recited that day in situ.
